About Spuggy Designs

Spuggy Designs is a small, independent knitwear brand founded and run by Helaina in her home knitting studio in Surrey, UK. Every piece is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted using a manual, hand-powered knitting machine, blending traditional techniques with a modern, colourful aesthetic.

With over 20 years of hand-knitting experience, Helaina has also self-taught the art of machine knitting, allowing for greater creativity and craftsmanship in every item. Sustainability is at the heart of Spuggy Designs, with all knitwear made using natural and eco-friendly fibres, including Merino wool, British wool, and recycled cotton. To minimise waste, most pieces are made-to-order, ensuring a responsible and considered approach to production.
