The British wool used for this scarf is deadstock yarn — unused yarn left over at the end of a season when manufacturers have overestimated their production needs. Rather than letting perfectly good fibres go to waste, deadstock materials give designers the opportunity to transform these surplus textiles into beautiful new pieces. Using deadstock yarn helps reduce unnecessary waste while giving high-quality fibres a second life.
