About Spuggy Designs

Spuggy Designs is a sustainable knitwear and slow living brand based in Surrey, UK, founded and run by Helaina.

Rooted in colourful, consciously made knitwear, the brand has grown into a collection of thoughtfully designed pieces for everyday comfort — from hand-poured candles and small-batch soaps to reflection journals and cosy home textiles.

Every knitwear piece is designed and handmade in Helaina’s home knitting studio using a manual, hand-powered knitting machine. Crafted from natural and sustainable fibres including merino wool, British wool and recycled cotton, each item is made with longevity in mind.

With over 20 years of hand-knitting experience, Helaina combines traditional skills with a modern, considered approach to design. Most knitwear is made to order to reduce waste, while lifestyle products are created in small batches to maintain quality and intention.

Spuggy Designs exists to bring colour, comfort and conscious living together — offering pieces designed to last, to be loved, and to make everyday life feel a little softer.
