Candle Seconds – Perfectly Good Candles, Imperfect Tins (50% off)

A perfectly good candle in a not-so-perfect tin.

Sometimes things don't quite go to plan.

These candles are from a batch of tins where the black outer coating has flaked and chipped around the upper rim. It isn't up to the standard I'd normally sell at Spuggy Designs, but the candle inside is still far too good to waste.

So, rather than throwing away a perfectly usable candle, these are available as Seconds for 50% off the usual price.

What's wrong with them?

The black finish on the tins has chipped or flaked, particularly around the upper rim, exposing some of the metal underneath. The amount and position of the damage varies from tin to tin – the photographs show genuine examples from the affected batch.

The candles themselves are not seconds. They have been made using the same wax, fragrance and process as my full-price candles.

I've also burn-tested a candle from the affected batch and found that the cosmetic damage to the tin did not affect its burn performance.
